Support for the Black History Museum

On May 21, 2024, Michael McDonald, a candidate for District 3 Commissioner told the Board of Commissioners and those in the meeting that there was no support for the Black History Museum in the St Johns County black community.

You can watch the statement here:  https://stjohnscountyfl.new.swagit.com/videos/305860?ts=9694

So apparently the candidate who made the statement missed this coverage of the April 19, 2024 trip to Tallahassee, where 50+ members of the West Augustine community overwhelmingly announced their support.  Their support was so passionate that, even though their bus caught fire, they continued to the Black History Task Force Meeting, a bit smoky, to tell the Task Force how much St Johns County wants the Museum in West Augustine.

Just in case others believe that the community does not support the museum being in SJC, I will post the coverage here:

I was in Tallahassee that day.  The community REALLY wants this.
